General Information:

Small trees, up to 12 m tall.Branchlets minutely ferruginous pubescent.Leaves simple, alternate, distichous; petiole to 0.6-1.3 cm long, canaliculate; ferruginous pubescent; lamina 8-16 x 3.5-6.7 cm ovate to elliptic, apex acuminate with blunt tip, base acute to rounded, margin entire, coriaceous, dark green above, glabrous; domatia hairy at axils of secondary nerves; secondary nerves 6-8 pairs, prominent; tertiary and higher order nerves reticulate.Flowers solitary or 2-3 in leaf opposed cymes, pedicels ca.1 cm long, pubescent; petals white to yellow.Fruit and SeedClustered 1-2 seeded berries, globose, tomentose.
